G-Moniy’s Beginner Guide to Fantasy Football
With the NFL season starting this week, many of you either have or have not begun drafting your fantasy football teams. Fantasy football is a game that allows you to create your own dream team by selecting real-life football players and competing against others.
Here’s a guide on how to play fantasy football:
- Join a league: The first step is to join a fantasy football league. You can join a public league or create a private one with your friends or family. There are different websites and apps that allow you to create or join a league, such as ESPN, Yahoo, and NFL. I prefer ESPN or you can play for money on apps like Draft Kings. I’m currently in 2 EPSN Leagues.
- Draft your team: Once you are in a league, you will participate in a draft where you will select your players. You will have a specific amount of time to make your picks, and the order will be determined by the league commissioner. You can select players from any team or position, but you need to keep in mind the scoring system of your league. (I’ll drop a video below)
- Manage your team: After the draft, you will have a team of players that you can manage throughout the season. You can make changes to your lineup each week, such as adding or dropping players and making trades with other teams. It’s essential to stay up to date with player injuries and performance so that you can make informed decisions.
- Score points: Your team will earn points based on the performance of your players in real-life games. Points can be earned for touchdowns, yards gained, and other statistical categories depending on your league’s rules. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins the league.
- Have fun: Fantasy football is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the football season. It’s a great way to bond with friends or family, and it can make watching football games even more exciting. So, relax and have fun with it!
In conclusion, fantasy football is a game that can be enjoyed by anyone who loves football.
By following these steps, you can create your own team and compete against others for a chance to be the champion.
