50 Cent Wows Dreamville Crowd With Diddy Diss, and DaBaby Surprise

Response to the announcement last week that 50 Cent would replace Chris Brown in the Dreamville Festival lineup was met with tepid reaction.

But the reaction to his actual performance at Dreamville was far different, as the packed crowd at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh went crazy for the hip hop legend’s secondary headliner set on night one of Dreamville 2024.

Serving as a setup for the big headliner of the night, SZA, 50 came out guns blazing with much of the same material he’s been using on his own solo tour lately.

He did throw a couple of surprises out though. The first was a guest appearance by DaBaby, who lit up the performance with a couple of songs. It shouldn’t have come as too big a surprise though, as DaBaby has said frequently he idolizes his mentor, and has showed up in guest spots before.

50 Cent dropped another surprise, continuing the trolling he’s been doing of P. Diddy online. With legal trouble swarming around the hip hop mogul, 50 has been sending insults his way repeatedly. And Saturday night was no exception, as he declared to the crowd, “I love you brother, No P. Diddy.”

Night two of Dreamville will feature headlining sets from Nicki Minaj and J. Cole. There are sure to be plenty of surprises though, as Cole has become famous for those around here.

"The Ugliest Brotha in Radio" G-Moniy is holding down your afternoons from 3p-7p on Foxy 99. The Fayetteville native has been entertaining radio listeners for over 12 years, and is also an accomplished DJ and he's rocked parties all over NC. A gym rat with a love for wrestling, G-Moniy writes about video games, music, & comic books and fitness. G-Moniy describes himself as a "Layered Individual."

2024 Dreamville Festival Artist Set Times and Performance Schedule Announced

Dreamville Festival 2024 (see our complete guide here) opens at noon this Saturday, April 6, and we finally know the schedule for when all 26 artists will be taking the stage to perform.

Keep in mind, as always this is subject to change. Music festivals get a little crazy sometimes, and things happen. So some of this may move a little, but the weather at least looks like it’ll be good for now.

But nonetheless, here’s the plan.

Once again, Dorothea Dix Park will feature two stages with performances. BUT, there are mostly no overlaps scheduled this year, so you’ll almost never have to choose between seeing one artist or another. You’ll be able to catch everyone, as long as you’re willing to go back and forth across the park.

The gates open at noon both days, and Foxy 99 will be out there all weekend to celebrate with all of you.
