Veterans Farm of North Carolina Holding Farm Day Fundraiser
The Veterans Farm of North Carolina (VFNC) is thrilled to announce its First Annual Farm Day Fundraiser, a family-friendly event set to take place on Saturday, October 21, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 160 Brookstone Dr, Cameron, NC. This all ages event promises wholesome fun for the whole family, while supporting veterans.
The Veterans Farm of North Carolina is dedicated to supporting veterans through agriculture. With a mission to empower veterans to thrive in farming and agriculture, VFNC provides resources, education, and opportunities for veterans to build successful careers in the agricultural industry.
The Farm Day Fundraiser is bringing back some classic, wholesome events such as the Farm Olympics! See the chickens race! What number will the cows choose on the cow chip roulette board? Egg spoon races for the kids! Who will be the victor? For the beer lover, there will be a special event, be among the first to taste their collaborative brew with Heckler Brewing Company and Secret Garden Bees – the Imperial Honey Brown Ale. Personally, I’m excited about the Cake Walk event because who doesn’t love the possibility of winning cake? With a silent auction where the proceeds go to support veterans and farmer veteran vendors showcasing their handcrafted goods and products, you’re sure to get in a little retail therapy.
Live Music and and ice cream truck will also be onsite, but insider tip, bring your own chair. Make yourself comfortable as you soak in the farm vibes and entertainment.
