Pull Up Poet Live Event Scheduled for January 27 at FSU
During MLK weekend I hosted a community event with The Mo You Know to celebrate local heroes here in Cumberland County. During the program a dynamic young man stood up to perform his original poetry. His artistry captured the attention of the entire room and we were also in awe to learn of his work in the community.
On Friday I had the pleasure of interviewing Dré Sansbury aka Suave the Poet who is shaking things up with Pull Up Poet, a super-engaging event hosted by Fayetteville State University and the FSU Department of Performing and Fine Arts. Suave is truly walking in his purpose while uplifting and inspiring others. Pull up Poet is made possible with the awesome support of The Arts Council of Fayetteville and Cumberland County. The program is also being filmed for Amazon prime and will feature several national poets.
It all goes down on January 27th at 7 p.m. at Butler Theater, located at 1200 Murchison Rd. Tickets are only $10 for the general public and totally free for FSU students with a valid student ID. GET YOUR TICKETS HERE. And keep scrolling for ticket links and my full interview with Suave.
