Heads up Fayetteville, a new restaurant is coming, as Chicken Salad Chick will be holding its grand opening on Tuesday, May 3.

The fast-casual chicken salad restaurant will be at 2811 Raeford Road, in the former Five Guys location, across from Harris Teeter. Opening week will feature a series of giveaways for the first visitors (see below).

Chicken Salad Chick was founded in Auburn, Alabama and has quickly grown. The restaurant features "full-flavored, Southern-style chicken salad made from scratch and served from the heart. With more than a dozen original chicken salad flavors as well as fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and delicious desserts, Chicken Salad Chick's robust menu is a perfect fit for any guest."

And the first Fayetteville location will be opened by a Fayetteville native, Jonah Greenup. This is the first location, with two additional locations expected from the franchisee in the future.

"I experienced Chicken Salad Chick for the first time a couple of years ago in Richmond, Virginia, and I became an instant fan of the made-from-scratch food served from the heart with unmatched hospitality," Greenup, the franchise owner, said in a press release. "This is my hometown, and I'm thrilled to be opening a business that I know will spread joy to my neighbors and enrich the community."

As part of the grand opening, Chicken Salad Chick will have a series of giveaways and specials, including:

If you're looking for good food across Southeastern North Carolina, you've got plenty of restaurant options, and thanks to the Food Network, a lot of people know about them.

The folks over at tvfoodmaps.com have done the work of legends, putting together a complete directory of all the restaurants that have appeared on some of the network's most popular shows.

So we took a dive to look at some of the best Southeastern North Carolina restaurant choices. For the sake of this discussion, we're calling "Southeastern North Carolina" anything south of Raleigh, and east of basically Pinehurst. So you won't find any of the MANY restaurants on the list in Raleigh, for example.
